In 2021, I moved to Germany for a year to continue my studies after being awarded Moers Festival’s 14th annual Improvisor In Residence music scholarship. Rough Education was developed, created and conceived of entirely at the improvisor in residence house.

I played a prepared grand piano and and then overdubbed percussion...each instrument performed in one complete first take reading through the music with no breaks.

k.shea -- composition, prepared piano, prepared drumset, recording, mixing, mastering, zombie-student drawing.
